Mr Joe's Handyman ServicesBoyd, Texas

Handyman in Boyd, Texas · Residential & Commercial

The list of little things, finally handled.

Most anything residential and commercial. The sticking back door, the hole in the hallway, the light you have been meaning to swap out since spring — Joseph Pendergraft covers Boyd and the towns around it, from Fort Worth out to Decatur.

No job too small. Punch lists welcome. One call handles the whole thing.

What I do

Six things I get asked for most

The list below is where most calls start — but it is not the limit. If it is a residential or commercial repair and it does not need a licensed trade, ask.

A crew of two to four, our own truck and equipment.

So bigger jobs are no problem — and the small punch list still gets done in one visit.

01

Small repairs

Loose hinges, sticking drawers, a shelf that finally needs to go up. Bring the whole list and it gets done in one visit.

A patched plaster wall with a putty knife and sanding block on a drop cloth
02

Drywall & paint touch-ups

Doorknob holes, cracks, popped tape. Patched, sanded and blended into the wall you already have.

A freshly painted interior door with crisp white trim in a sunlit hallway
03

Doors, trim & finish work

A door that closes properly, casing that lines up, baseboard that finishes a room instead of nearly finishing it.

04

Fixtures & installations

Lights, fans, faucets, mounts and small installs — the jobs it is hard to get anybody out for.

A new cedar fence picket between weathered boards with a hammer and nails
05

Decks & fences

Boards replaced, rails tightened, gates that swing and latch again. Texas weather is hard on wood.

An empty freshly painted rental living room with a paint roller and tray
06

Rental turnover

Between tenants, in one pass, with the punch list closed out and photos of the work so you can stay put.

Not on the list? Good — that is most of the work. Commercial upkeep, odd installs, a bit of everything on one visit.

Who I work for

Three kinds of customer, one way of working

Whether it is your own house, a unit you rent out, or a shop you open every morning, the job is the same: show up, do it properly, and leave it better than I found it.

Homeowners

The list on the fridge. Small jobs you would feel silly calling a contractor for, and the ones that have quietly been there for two years.

  • One visit for several small jobs
  • Patch, paint and match
  • Honest word on what can wait

Landlords & property managers

Turnover work on a deadline, and maintenance calls that do not need a specialist. I photograph what I did so you can see it from wherever you are.

  • Move-out punch lists
  • Between-tenant repairs
  • Photo record of the work

Local businesses

The running list no one on staff has time for. Shelving, doors, hardware, patching — before you open or after you close, so the day is not interrupted.

  • Scheduled upkeep visits
  • Before or after hours
  • One point of contact

How it works

Three steps, no runaround

No call center, no dispatch fee, no sales visit. You talk to the person doing the work.

  1. 1

Call, text, or send the form

Tell me what needs doing in your own words. A list is fine. Photos are even better — they save a trip.

  2. 2

    Get a straight quote

I look at the job and tell you what it takes and what it costs before anything starts. No surprises after.

  3. 3

    Get it done

I show up when I said I would, do the work, clean up after myself, and take the old parts with me.

Where I work

Boyd, Fort Worth, Decatur — and the roads between

Boyd is home base, and the work spreads out from there: Fort Worth to the south, Decatur to the northwest, and the small towns and county roads in between. If you are on the edge of that map, call anyway — the answer is usually yes.

    Boyd

Home base — houses, rentals, and the businesses along the main road.

    Fort Worth

House calls and commercial upkeep across the south side of the drive.

    Decatur

Repairs, punch lists and property work up through Wise County.

Residential and commercial work, both. Somewhere else nearby? Give me the nearest crossroads and I will tell you straight whether I cover it.

Tell me what is on the list

Rough is fine. “The back door sticks and there is a hole by the stairs” is a perfectly good start — I will ask the rest when I call you back.

Call or text — a text with a photo of the problem often gets the fastest answer.

Every request comes straight to my phone. Nobody else reads it, and nobody calls you back on my behalf.

A phone photo saves a trip and gets you a better number.
